About

Welcome to Soul-Burrito

If we haven’t met, my name is Corey Paxton, and I started soul-burrito to encourage people to discover there is more to life through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

This has become a passion of mine because I’ve seen so many people confused by religion, hurt by the church, stuck in their relationship with God, or struggling with their inner life, including me.

In my journey of leadership, I’ve dreamed big and tried hard to change the world, but sometimes struggled to know how to care for the health of my own soul. Fortunately, I’ve learned it doesn’t have to be that way.

I’ve come to believe Jesus invites us on a journey of healing in our souls that brings passion to our daily lives. This site is a chance for me to share some of my experience to encourage you to make the most of the life God has given you.

Wherever you are in your spiritual journey, I hope soul-burrito will help you discover there is more to life with Jesus.

About me:

I am a follower of Jesus, husband, girl dad, young adult movement leader, and pastor in Raleigh, NC. After studying Religion at William and Mary, I graduated with degrees in Theology, Cross-Cultural Studies, and Divinity from Fuller Seminary and the Master’s Institute.

I love basketball, running, reading, mentoring young adults, and trying to find the world’s best burrito. You can probably find me in one of the great coffee shops near our home in Apex.
